OBJECTIVE

The major objectives of establishing the ITC High-Tech and IT Park are to:

1. Develop indigenous technological capability for the development of the local industries.

2. Create a conducive atmosphere for establishing ICT, engineering, electronics, telecommunication, biotechnology and other related knowledge based industry.

3. Provide necessary administrative support service to the potential entrepreneurs interested in investing at the Hi-Tech Park.

4. Develop Microelectronics Industry, which will mainly engage in IC design, chip manufacturing and packaging, semiconductor and electronic components manufacturing and packaging.

5. Develop Photoelectric and Communication Industry, which will mainly engaged in the development of LCD, PDP, OLED, high brightness LED, LCOS, color optical filter, negative-photo module group, touch panel, various optical instrument and lens; mainly engaged in the manufacture and development of the third-generation CDMA mobile communication system, base station subsystem, mobile phone and its accessories, broadband exchange, network access equipment, optical communication products, broadband terminal products, high-speed routers and network safety products.

6. Software Industry Park, Which is mainly engaged in the development of application software, multimedia software, intelligent software, office management software and network, applied software.

7. The park will contain some tenants, comprising multinational corporations, local firms and small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). And

8. Some other hi-tech industries are encouraged, such as Optical and Electronic Integration Industry, New Material Industry, and Pharmaceutical Industry, etc.
